hello
Welcome to theatrepower.
When piloting a solo mission like launching a website, plural pronouns give the impression of multiple bodies sweating out of their eyeballs to charge towards a united task. 'WE' for example here implies the same and OUR mission pilot has already been engaged. And she is very mad and alone.
Yes, the eyeball sweat is all mine.
Hi, I'm Laura and WE're very glad to see that you've been pulled towards the magnetic super-force of THEATREPOWER. Hopefully, like a magnet exercise in Year 4, you've been attracted rather than repelled to OUR experiment; to bring theatre out of the shadows... BATMAN STYLE.
So what's the plan?
1. To creative and sustain a creative online space powered by relevant theatre-related content for artists and fans.
2. To make a fun, inclusive and interactive website, posting weekly.
3. To share and promote the work of artists and provide insights into working in the creative industries.
Yes, it's all very wordy but, if like US, you love clickbait articles and want to step-ball-chain your way towards more theatrical things on your popular social feeds, SIDESTEP NO FURTHER. WE are here to harness the POWER, influence and control theatre has in our lives and live to tell the tale.
Though WE are currently still in development, the brains behind THEATREPOWER hope to build a basis of theatre related madness as Laura catapults into adulthood, asking the real questions behind 'the arts' and why we must keep attacking the great big (cheese) block of creativity.
As all creative resume's tend to paraphrase, Laura has a 'creative passion and love for theatre.' A master of Sims 2-4 family creation, Laura already has a multitude of successful Maxis careers and rents a 5 star apartment for 30,000 simoleons a week.
Laura has started a 'passion project,' lord save us all so pop your head in here from time to time to watch her downwards descent into rabbit-hole madness and sample the insanity in the bathroom, phone in hand, after your morning coffee.
After all, as Alison says, the first sign of madness is talking to yourself so help a girl out and keep clicking the links and listen out for when the next article drops.
WE will be looking for collaborators soon so keep a weather-eye on the horizon for when WE start making the WE a real WE and put the word out for authors and new suggestions.
